The concerts are part of 2NE1's "Welcome Back Tour," marking the group's return after a seven-year hiatus. IME Vietnam, the organizer behind Blackpink’s Hanoi concerts, will manage the event, though the venue details are yet to be announced.
Fans expressed excitement on social media, with some even planning to attend the shows in Ho Chi Minh City despite already having tickets for 2NE1’s concert in Thailand.

The "Welcome Back Tour," which started in October, is the group’s fourth tour and will run through February 2025. The Straits Times reported that demand has been overwhelming, with 300,000 to 400,000 fans vying for only 4,000 tickets per concert across Asia.
YG Entertainment’s President Yang Hyun-suk clarified the limited audience size, stating, "The group wanted to perform this year, but all larger venues were already booked."

Formed in 2009, 2NE1 consists of CL, Park Bom, Dara, and Minzy, known globally for hits like "Go Away," "Fire," and "I Am the Best." Billboard named them the top K-pop girl group of the decade in 2017.
However, after a 2014 scandal involving Park Bom, the group went on hiatus, with members focusing on solo projects before YG Entertainment announced their disbandment in 2016.
In 2023, 2NE1 reunited to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their debut. Prior to their February concerts, member Park Bom also performed solo in Ho Chi Minh City in September.
