An exhibition match between the Vietnam national football team and Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund will take place on Nov. 30.

"We know how much Vietnamese love football and the club have a large fanbase here," said Benedikt Scholz, Dortmund's director of Internationalization and Commercial Partnerships.

Borussia Dortmund, established in 1909, have won eight Bundesliga titles, a UEFA Champions League and a European Super Cup. Their stadium, Signal Iduna Park, is the largest in Germany.

"We promise to bring our first squad with our best players," Scholz added.

Dortmund are set to bring 200 people to Hanoi. Aside from playing a friendly with Vietnam, the club will also host fan meetings for local supporters.

Scholz said the friendly is only the beginning. Dortmund are well-known for turning young talents into superstars like Jadon Sancho, Jude Bellingham and especially Erling Haaland. In future, the club can bring Vietnamese talents to Germany for trials.

"Youth football training is in our DNA and Dortmund are willing to help Vietnam with this," Scholz said.
