Seoul E-Land FC is negotiating to sign Vietnamese forward Nguyen Van Toan as a free agent.

Seoul E-Land and Toan have reached a preliminary agreement for the 26-year-old forward to join the team as a free transfer after his contract with domestic club HAGL expires this season.

Toan is a product of the HAGL Arsenal JMG Academy. In 2015, he was promoted to the first squad of HAGL and has become a regular on the Vietnam U19, U23 and national football team.

Toan did not perform well at club level, only winning the bronze medal in the 2022 National Cup playing for HAGL. However, he was a member of the national team that won the 2018 AFF Cup.

Seoul E-Land FC plays in K-League 2, the second division of South Korean football. The club has just named Park Choong Kyun as its coach. Park previously coached the Hanoi FC but left the club prior to the 2022 V. League season.

Another player from HAGL that might also play football overseas next season is forward Nguyen Cong Phuong. He is negotiating with a Japanese club in the second division J. League 2. Phuong has played football abroad in the past, for Mito Hollyhock (Japan), Incheon United (South Korea) and Sint Truiden (Belgium).
