Midfielder wins second Vietnamese Golden Ball

Duc also won the award for 2021, and the bronze ball for 2022.

He showed fine form in 2023, helping Viettel FC finish third in V. League and second in National Cup.

"Winning the Vietnamese Golden Ball is a great success for me. This also motivates me to try harder for the club and the national team. I want to thank my club, my teammates, the coaching staff and especially my parents, who have been by my side and supported me a lot in my career," Duc said after receiving the award.

Hai won the Silver Ball thanks to his impressive performance in Hanoi FC and the national team.

"This is my first time attending the Vietnamese Golden Ball. I’m really happy. This is a motivation for me to improve in the upcoming journey," Hai said.

In the women’s category, the Golden Ball was given to goalkeeper Tran Thi Kim Thanh. In 2023, Thanh showed excellent form with a league title, a SEA Games gold medal and was the main keeper of Vietnam in Women’s World Cup and Asian Games.

Striker Huynh Nhu won the Silver Ball and midfielder Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy received the Bronze Ball.

Nguyen Thai Son won the Best Young Player for his performance in the U23 and national team. Pham Duc Hoa won the Futsal Golden Ball, followed by Chau Doan Phat and Ho Van Y.

Brazilian forward Rafaelson of Nam Dinh FC received the award for Best Foreign Player. He was the top scorer in V. League last season with 16 goals.
