Coach Park Hang-seo attends wedding of Vietnamese football star

For the wedding, Hai donned a white suit with a black bowtie while the bride Chu Thanh Huyen chose a vintage-style dress. Huyen, 24, is pregnant with Hai's first child.

The midfielder of V. League Cong An Ha Noi (CAHN) hired an organizer and set up a large wedding hall on a football field in his hometown Dong Anh, Hanoi to welcome about 1,200 guests. The wedding hall is decorated entirely with fresh flowers and large-sized photos of the bride and groom.

Coach Park Hang-seo was present to congratulate his former player. The two also had a quick chat. They worked together in the Vietnam national and U23 team from November 2017 to January 2023, winning many unprecedented achievements in Vietnamese football history, including second place at the 2018 AFC U23 Championship, the 2018 AFF Cup title, and two gold medals at the 2019 and 2021 SEA Games.

Park became Vietnam national head coach at the end of 2017, and achieved immense success with He also brought the team to the final qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup for the first time in history.

Park left the national team in early 2023 to many fans' regret. He recently avoided the media's question about the possibility of returning to the team now that his successor Philippe Troussier's contract was terminated early due to poor results.

After leaving the team, Park is working on his youth football academy in Vietnam and recently took the job of senior advisor for Bac Ninh FC in the second football division.

National team's left-back Doan Van Hau and his beauty queen wife Doan Hai My were also present. Hau has not recovered from his heel injury and Hai My is pregnant with their first son.

Hau is one of the few players who attended Hai's wedding. The remaining players are busy preparing with their clubs for the next round of V. League, taking place this weekend.

Another close teammate of Hai, defender Do Duy Manh also came to the wedding. The two have played together at Hanoi FC, as well as at youth levels and the national team.

Hai and Huyen started dating three years ago, but keep it private on social media. In 2022, when Hai played for Pau FC in France, Huyen went there with the midfielder's parents to visit him. She stayed there with Hai until he left Pau FC and returned home to join CAHN.

On April 6, the 27-year-old midfielder will hold a more private wedding party at a five-star hotel in Hanoi. This wedding party is expected to bring together the most famous figures of Vietnamese football.
