Thai actress Mai Davika wears conical hat, enjoys Vietnamese pho

Mai Davika, who once played a ghost on Thai television and so is often dubbed "Thailand's most beautiful ghost," did not have much time to stay in Vietnam after finishing a fashion show here.

Before departing for Thailand, she visited a restaurant at the international terminal inside Tan Son Nhat Airport on Wednesday and ordered a bowl of chicken pho.

The pho was cooked in the southern style with basil and bean sprouts.

She wore a non la (Vietnamese conical hat) while trying the soup.

She wrote on her Facebook page: "Love you Vietnam. It’s a short trip, but was full of good memories. Thank you for your warm welcome. I hope to come back soon."

The 31-year-old is a famous Thai actress, model, and singer. In 2020, she was among the top 100 most influential stars in Asia voted by Forbes magazine.

Pho, which contains soft rice noodles dipped in a fragrant beef or chicken broth, is considered a national dish and can be found all over the country though it originated in Hanoi before being taken to the south, where people have added their own influences.
