Dollar weakens at banks

The U.S. dollar declined marginally at banks Wednesday but stayed unchanged at unofficial exchange points.

Vietcombank sold the greenback 0.008% lower at VND24,855.

TPBank let the dollar slide by the same rate. Techcombank sold the dollar at VND24,853, down 0.008%.

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) set its exchange rate at VND23,672, also down 0.008%.

Black market dollar remained at VND25,050.

The dollar has gained around 8.45% this year at commercial banks.

The USD Index, which measures the greenback’s strength against major currencies, fell by one point to 107.
