The U.S. dollar surges against the Vietnamese dong at banks Tuesday afternoon.

ACB sold the dollar 0.84% higher at VND24,100, while VIB set the rate at VND24,150, a 1.05% rise.

The greenback goes up 0.83% to VND24,400 at SCB.

Vietcombank sold the dollar at VND23,910, up 0.38%.

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV)’s reference rate is at VND23,643, down 0.01%.

The USD is sold at VND24,180 on the black market, up 0.33%.

The dollar index inched 0.3% lower to 104.10 points as the yen surged after the Bank of Japan (BOJ) said it would review its yield curve control policy.
