The U.S. dollar dropped slightly against the dong on the black market on Thursday morning.

The USD was sold at VND23,550 at unofficial exchange points, down 0.25% from the previous day.

But the greenback remained steady at banks. Vietcombank kept the dollar at VND23,620 Thursday, Eximbank VND23,640, Techcombank VND23,635, and ACB VND23,700.

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV)’s reference rate is at VND23,605.

The USD/VND exchange rate has decreased by 0.46% since the beginning of the year.
