The U.S. dollar fell against the Vietnamese dong on the black market Thursday morning but remained stable at banks.

Unofficial exchange points sold the dollar at VND23,485, down 0.7% from Wednesday.

Vietcombank kept its rate unchanged at VND23,610.

Eximbank maintained the rate at VND23,580, while Techcombank sold the greenback 0.01% lower at VND23,607.

The State Bank of Vietnam kept the same reference rate at VND23,605.

The U.S. dollar index dipped 0.1%, while benchmark U.S. 10-year Treasury yields also fell. A weaker dollar makes greenback-priced bullion more appealing to other currency holders, Reuters reported.
