The tickets, which allow Park and his wife to travel unlimited times between the two countries, were given as a gift for his dedication to his work in Vietnam for the last five years.
Park’s contract with the Vietnam national football team will end on January 31. The Vietnam-Thailand match in Bangkok on Monday in the AFF Cup final was his last time leading the team. Thailand defeated Vietnam 1-0 for the championship.
"Coach Park will stop leading the Vietnamese team, but the love and respect of tens of millions of fans for him will last forever," Vietnam Airlines said in a statement.
Park became the head coach of the men's football team at the end of 2017 and quickly helped Vietnamese football regain the interest of home fans by leading Vietnam to runner-up in the Asian U23 tournament in early 2018.
Park’s five-year journey helped Vietnam achieve its successes, including an AFF Cup championship, two Sea Games gold medals and participation in the final qualifying round of the World Cup.
