During their show at Thong Nhat Stadium on Wednesday, the band had more time to interact with the audience. Nicky Byrne surprised everyone when he began to talk to a fan named Nhi.

When he found out that she would soon be married, he asked her boyfriend’s name and told her to call him. When the call was unable to connect, the singer invited her onto stage and sang "Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You" in honor of her love story. The members held hands and danced along with Nhi.

Nicky also delighted the crowd with his humor. When he spotted a small crowd cheering the band on the balconies of a few buildings nearby, he pointed at them and said: "I think they paid to be in that building. They must’ve spent even more than the first-class ticket holders here."

When the audience roared with laughter, he made a motion for them to quiet down so he could say: "Hey you guys at the building! Can you guys shout ‘Westlife, Westlife’? Welcome to the show!"

During the quieter moments of the concert, Nicky Byrne invited the audience to reminisce on the past 25 years since the formation of the band.

"In the audience tonight, there are those who’re married, those who’ve divorced, even those who’ve lost their loved ones. Twenty years is a long time, so today, let us remember all the special things and make more special memories," he said.

The pop star said he felt that Vietnam and Ireland have a unique connection, and he believed this would not be the last time Westlife visits the Southeast Asian nation.

The concert featured many of Westlife’s hits such as "My Love," "Season In The Sun," and "I Lay My Love On You." According to organizers, there were about 15,000 live attendees at the second of two shows in HCMC. Westlife performed in the city on Tuesday and Wednesday night.

One member of the audience, 28-year-old Dao Anh, said that these musical concerts not only connect artists and fans, but they also bring together strangers in the crowd as well. She said that during the music she could turn around and hug a complete stranger, because at that moment, they were singing the same song and feeling the same emotions.

Vietnam is one of Westlife’s Asian stops on their "The Wild Dreams Tour." Prior to arriving in HCMC, the band performed in Taiwan and Macau.

Westlife was formed in 1998 in Dublin, Ireland with five members. The group disbanded in 2012 before reuniting in 2018. The current members are Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, and Nicky Byrne.

They are the holders of four Guinness World Records, including recognition as the top-selling band of the 21st century in the United Kingdom.
