Vietnamese game 'Hoa' has been nominated in the Best Art Direction and Best Music/Sound Design categories at Webby Awards, which honors online excellence.

'Hoa' will go up against 'No Longer Home', 'Lost in Random', 'Wayfinder' and 'Oddworld: Soulstorm Enhanced Edition' in the Best Art Direction category.

In the Best Music/Sound Design, it will go head to head with 'LEGO Star Wars: Castaways', 'IGN25:The Game', 'Warframe' and 'Rachet & Clark: Rift Apart'.

'Hoa' is an indie game created by Vietnamese studio Skrollcat.

On its official website, developers wrote that 'Hoa' is "a beautiful puzzle-platforming game that features breathtaking hand-painted art, lovely music, and a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere."

The role-playing game takes players on the lush adventure of Hoa, a petite fairy, through "breathtaking environments back to where it all began," it stated.

The L.A. Times said in an article in April last year that it is "one of 2021’s must-play games, a charmer that at its start literally forces you to pause and look at the scenery."

Meanwhile, American magazine Wired called the game "one of the indie world's most anticipated upcoming titles."

The annual Webby Awards are awarded for excellence on the Internet presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences in the U.S.

Some news outlets, including the New York Times, have dubbed the Webby the "Oscars of the Internet."

Categories include websites, advertising and media, online film and video, mobile sites and apps, social media, etc.

The judging panel is comprised of over two thousand industry experts and technology innovators.

Streaming platform Netflix tops the list with a total of 26 nominations, followed by tech colossus Apple with 19.

Winners for the 2022 Webby Awards will be announced on April 26.
