Singer Ho Ngoc Ha apologized to fans for canceling her U.S. gigs due to her illness after her home got looted on Oct. 8.

"I have a fever and severe bronchitis, so I had to cancel my U.S. gigs. My family has also been through some difficult times and is still receiving assistance from police," she said during a live stream Thursday. "I am hopeful that everything will be resolved shortly."

Ha's publicist said last week the singer would not be able to make her Oct. 9 "Love Song" concert in San Jose, California, due to health reasons. It's unfortunate, but the event's organizers have apologized and issued refunds to the attendees despite losing nearly $50,000.

During the 16-minute broadcast, the singer also talked about last weekend's incident when a thief had broken into her villa.

Her relatives had called the police on Oct. 8 after discovering traces of a break-in at their home in Ho Chi Minh City’s Thu Duc urban area. Upon initial inspection, the family claimed they had lost many valuable assets, including 20 taels of gold, $100,000, and valuable pieces of jewelry. A tael equals 37.5 grams or 1.2 ounces.

Ha, who was not in Vietnam when the burglary occurred, stated that police are investigating and hopes the case would be resolved quickly.

"These past 10 days been really difficult for me physically and mentally. But now that it's over, I'm getting back in shape for some forthcoming shows. However, it's all over now, and I'm resting up and preparing for my upcoming gigs in Vietnam."

Ho Ngoc Ha is a well-known entertainer, model, actress and singer. Besides having many chart-topping tracks under her belt, she was a coach and also a judge in singing competitions like The Voice of Vietnam, The X Factor Vietnam and The Remix in Vietnam.
