The artist shared the post immediately upon her return to the U.S. after the Wednesday event, which took place at Ho Guom Opera House. She is seen smiling brightly while taking a photo with Vietnamese folk dancers in one of the photos.

Appearing in a silk gown and white sandals, the singer arrived at the event early and spent time taking photos as well as talking to the press.

She also shared a photo in which her entourage is seen taking care of her.

She changed to a metallic dress with beads attached for the performance of her hit song "Firework."
The other songs she brought to the event were "Unconditionally" and "Roar."

She shared not only backstage photos, but moments of her on stage as well.
"My favorite ceremonies are ones that award remarkable scientists prizes for their world-changing work," she wrote in the accompanied caption. "Thank you VinFuture for bringing me back to Vietnam to finally sing there for the first time!"

Katy Perry arrived in Vietnam on Tuesday and stayed at a five-star hotel in the old quarter. The singer spent time wandering around the city, going shopping, and taking photos with her local fans on Wednesday.
The event marks her first time performing in Vietnam, though she has visited Vietnam twice. She attended a 2015 forum in Ho Chi Minh City as a guest, and visited the coastal Ninh Thuan province a year later as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Children’s Fund.
Born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, Katy Perry, 39, is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with over 143 million records sold worldwide.
Along with her influence on modern pop music, the American singer is also known for her active participation in social work, including advocating for the rights of children and the LGBT community throughout many years.
The VinFuture Science and Technology Awards is an annual international award gala that honors remarkable scientific breakthroughs and promotes innovations for mankind. American singer-songwriter Christina Aguilera performed at the award ceremony last year.
