Teenagers nabbed day after robbing Dutch woman in Hoi An

Huynh Nguyen Ngoc Bao, 19, and Vo Ngoc Phuoc, 18, were arrested for robbery, and Hua Tran Dai Vy, 19, for selling stolen properties, the Hoi An police said Tuesday.

On Feb. 17 Bao and Phuoc drove around on a motorbike without a license plate, looked for people to rob.

On Cua Dai Street they saw a foreign tourist on a bicycle with her handbag in the front basket, and followed her to the Le Thanh Tong-Cua Dai intersection before grabbing the bag.

It had contained two iPhones, an iPad, two e-readers, some cash and personal documents and belongings.

Bao and Phuoc took the iPad and cash, and threw the bag with the rest of the stuff on a riverbank.

They gave the iPad to Vy for selling.

The three were arrested by the police a day later.
