As reported by The Korea Times, a photo of Moon and four other female trainees in what appears to be a dance practice room started surfacing on social media Tuesday, igniting speculation about her joining a new girl group produced by Teddy, the mastermind behind hits for iconic K-pop groups like Big Bang and Blackpink.

Despite the lack of official confirmation from Shinsegae or The Black Label, industry insiders hinted that her debut is on the horizon.

Should Moon join the label, she will share the roster with Loren, son of technology corporation Naver’s Lee Hae-jin.

Moon, 21, has already been a notable influencer, boasting over 80,000 followers on Instagram. She is also the great-granddaughter of Samsung’s founder Lee Byung-chul, as her grandmother Lee Myung-hee is Lee Byung-chul’s youngest daughter.

Forbes estimated that Lee Myung-hee’s net worth was around US$840 million as of 2020, ranking her 42nd in the magazine’s 2020 Korea’s 50 Richest list.
