Office tower @ Heritage West Lake achieves first WELL pre-certification in Hanoi

Office Tower @HWL, a luxury project by CapitaLand Development, has become the first Hanoi office building to receive WELL pre-certification, meeting the strictest criteria.

In mid-June, Office Tower @HWL became Hanoi's first healthy building to achieve WELL pre-certification.

This recognition marks a significant milestone, paving the way for official WELL certification in Q1 2025.

Renowned for its comprehensive set of standards that evaluate architectural structures based on medical research and the interconnection between space, health, and human wellbeing, the WELL certification stands as a benchmark for the health and wellness of employees working in office buildings.

To earn WELL certification, office buildings must fulfill key criteria ranging from workspace elements such as air, water, light, sound, and materials to aspects of employee wellbeing and mental health.

This standard is developed and managed by the International WELL Building Institute, a non-profit organization dedicated to researching health-oriented building solutions.

Office Tower @HWL implements a range of energy-saving solutions, resulting in significant annual energy reductions.

Incorporating 24mm Low-E glass for its exterior, the building's energy-efficient design significantly reduces heat transfer, minimizing energy consumption by nearly 70%.

Additionally, the reduction in thermal performance of the building envelope enhances cooling energy efficiency by over 9%.

Equipped with 380 lighting sensors, it intelligently detects unoccupied areas and automatically adjusts or turns off lighting, optimizing energy consumption. Around one-third of the workspace is filled with natural daylight, further reducing electricity usage.

Moreover, Office Tower @HWL's expansive green spaces cover 2.8 times more than the site area.

A highlight is the Green Oasis, a dedicated sanctuary on the 22nd and 23rd floors for employees to rest and recharge, featuring native plants that minimize the water need.

Beyond its design, Office Tower @HWL prioritizes the wellbeing of its employees by offering a diverse range of amenities that are easily accessible within the building or within a 400-meter radius.

The West Lake area is also a vibrant hub for vibrant activities such as jogging and cycling.

Previously, the Heritage West Lake project receivedthe BCA Green Mark from the Singapore Building and Construction Authority in 2023.
