The index closed 3.04 points higher after gaining 7.06 points in the previous session.

PLX of fuel distributor Petrolimex saw the biggest growth of 4.9%, followed by FPT of IT giant FPT Corporation, up 3.7%.
GVR of Vietnam Rubber Group closed 1.2% higher.
Fifteen blue chips fell. POW of electricity producer Petrovietnam Power Corporation went down 2.3%, SAB of brewer Sabeco saw a 0.8% decrease, and MWG of electronics retail chain Mobile World fell 0.6%.
Foreign investors were net seller to the tune of VND577 billion, mainly selling FPT of FPT Corporation and VHM of property giant Vinhomes.
The HNX-Index for stocks on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, home to mid and small caps, rose 0.19%, while the UPCoM-Index for the Unlisted Public Companies Market went up 0.37%.
