Unofficial exchange points hiked the greenback by 0.18% to VND27,800.
Vietcombank kept its rate unchanged at VND26,345.
The State Bank of Vietnam’s reference rate was steady at VND25,091.
Globally the dollar gained after some hawkish comments from the Federal Reserve, steadying near a two-week high at 99.09 against a basket of currencies.
The Fed on Wednesday lowered rates by 25 basis points as expected and said it will end its balance sheet drawdown on December 1.
Elsewhere, the Australian dollar rose 0.2% to $0.6588, while the New Zealand dollar similarly gained 0.2% to $0.5775.
