FPT launches new office in Can Tho

FPT's latest office in Can Tho aims to strengthen the Mekong Delta's high-quality IT talent pool, bolstering the workforce to meet global IT service demands.

The new facility is expected to accommodate 1,000 IT service personnel by 2025, with plans to expand to 3,000 by 2030.

Located at 59-59A Phan Dinh Phung Street, Ninh Kieu District, the heart of Can Tho, the office is strategically positioned to support FPT's goal of making the Mekong Delta a key player in Vietnam's digital economy. Its proximity to the city's leading universities allows FPT to foster training collaborations and enhance the region's IT talent pool.

Duong Tan Hien, Vice Chairman of Can Tho People's Committee, highlighted FPT's contributions to digital transformation in Can Tho, including advancements in e-government and the digital economy. "With its highly skilled engineers and cutting-edge solutions, we hope this new office will become an IT hub, not only for Can Tho but also for the entire Mekong Delta, Vietnam, and global markets," he said at the opening ceremony.

Hien also reaffirmed the city's commitment to supporting FPT's growth, envisioning a future where Can Tho becomes a modern, smart city that embodies the unique cultural identity of the Mekong Delta.

Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT Corporation, shared FPT's dedication to attracting top IT talent, including foreign experts, and creating opportunities for local professionals: "With a strategic focus on AI, semiconductors, automotive technology, digital transformation, and green transformation, FPT is committed to bringing the best technological solutions to Can Tho."

Tang Phu Khoa, Director of FPT Software Can Tho, elaborated on the expansion: "In response to the growing demands of global customers, this third office reinforces our ability to meet workforce needs in international IT markets. By 2025, we plan to build a workforce of 1,000 employees, growing to 3,000 by 2030."

Currently, FPT employs around 500 IT engineers in Can Tho, specializing in sectors such as manufacturing, BFSI, logistics, and healthcare. These experts directly manage major projects for leading global corporations, showcasing FPT's alignment with global trends and standards.

According to the Politburo's vision for Can Tho City by 2030, with a perspective to 2045, the city is positioned as the Mekong Delta's hub for science, technology, education, healthcare, and logistics. FPT has been a longstanding partner in these efforts, promoting digital transformation and nurturing local talent.

The opening of FPT's third office in Can Tho marks a significant milestone in the company's decade-long journey to transform the city into a modern technology hub. By leveraging advanced solutions such as artificial intelligence, big data, and digital transformation platforms, FPT continues to contribute to Can Tho's development as a leading technological and economic center in Vietnam.
