The 2026 Lunar New Year Flower Street showcases large-scale installations celebrating Ho Chi Minh City’s historical milestones, with a special focus on its expanded stature following the landmark merger with Binh Duong and Ba Ria-Vung Tau last June.
Now in its 23rd year, the flower street has cemented itself as a distinctive cultural tradition in the city center during Tet.

Dominating the center of the flower street is the “Nhat Ma Thong Dong” (Leisurely Steed) installation, featuring a nearly 7-meter-tall horse depicted calmly grazing. Constructed from eco-friendly woven bamboo, the piece anchors a multi-layered ecological space designed for visitors to stroll through and enjoy a sense of tranquility.
With the main structure now complete, workers are finalizing the surrounding floral arrangements ahead of the opening.
Another major installation, named after the famous Southern folk song “Ly Ngua O” (Song of the Black Stallion), celebrates regional culture with a playful twist.
The mascot stands out for its unique finish: a lacquer-like coating integrated with 3D holographic cloud and wave patterns that shimmer under the sunlight.

Beyond the massive centerpieces, an array of smaller horse sculptures in diverse forms populates the flower beds and miniature landscapes along the route. A major debut this year is the introduction of projection mapping technology.
For the first time, dynamic visuals will be cast directly onto the textured surfaces of the mascots, creating a unique nighttime spectacle.
