Top Chinese KOLs' 2023 earnings surpass Brad Pitt's net worth

China’s online influencers have taken the digital world by storm, with earnings in 2023 eclipsing the net worth of many Hollywood A-listers like Brad Pitt.

The Guangdong E-commerce Summit Forum released a list of the 50 highest-earning online broadcasters, as reported by the South China Morning Post. Leading this list is Crazy Xiaoyangge, recognized as the country’s most lucrative influencer with earnings of 3.21 billion yuan (US$451 million) in 2023.

This earning exceeds the net worths of 77-year-old actor Arnold Schwarzenegger and 61-year-old Brad Pitt, which are US$450 million and US$400 million respectively, as per Parade and Cosmopolitan magazines.

The Manila Bulletin details that following closely are Xin Youzhi and Austin Li Jiaqi, who earned over 3 billion and 2.3 billion yuan respectively. The list also features Dong Yuhui and The Boss Seven, who rank fourth and fifth with earnings of 522.6 million yuan and 263.4 million yuan respectively.
