Hanoi to apply safety review of old apartments

Many of these apartments were built between 1960 and 1994, and some of them before 1954, posing risks to residents.

These are often small apartments located downtown that have been illegally modified overtime with structural deterioration.

The city is set to renovate or resettle residents in old apartment buildings to new developments from now until 2025.
