Hanoi’s neighboring Hoa Binh Province plans to develop 38 golf courses by 2050, seeking to be the country’s “golf capital” to boost tourism and economic development.

The province now has two courses in operation. Another three courses have been approved in principle.

It has also added 16 courses to a development plan, covering over 1,700 hectares. Another 17 courses will be developed in the upcoming decades and by 2050 there will be 38 courses in the province.

Authorities of the province said that golf courses will be developed with other entertainment services to attract tourists, both domestically and internationally.

Property projects will also be developed near golf courses. A variety of golf services will be offered such as playing in the sand or water golf courses.

Another northern province, Vinh Phuc, has also said it would develop 40 golf and other related projects by 2050.
