Asset management company VinaCapital is looking to list on the Singapore stock market next year by setting up a blank-check company.

It is working with an adviser on a potential initial public offering that could raise as much as SGD250 million ($183 million), people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.

The manager of $3.7 billion in assets will be among the first to list a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) in Singapore if it goes ahead with its plans.

But there is no certainty yet since deliberations are ongoing, the report said.

VinaCapital, founded in 2003, manages one closed-end fund listed on the London Stock Exchange and several open-ended and domestic funds.
