V-Green Global Charging Station Development Joint Stock Company (V-Green) has launched the first electric vehicle (EV) charging station franchise model in Vietnam.

Similar to the EV charging stations owned by V-Green, the franchised stations will cater only to VinFast vehicles owners.

Franchisees will benefit from a shared revenue model, earning VND750 (US$0.03) for each 1kWh of electricity charged from V-Green for at least 10 years. In addition, V-Green will provide comprehensive support, including technology management for operations, repair and maintenance services as well as marketing efforts to attract customers to the charging stations.

It is estimated that there will be 300,000 electric cars and one million electric bikes in Vietnam in 2025, the company said.

To join V-Green’s network, partners only need to invest in equipment and infrastructure required for the operation of the charging stations.

Nguyen Thanh Duong, General Director of V-Green said its EV charging station franchise is a breakthrough business model, promising to contribute positively to the strong development trend of electric vehicles in Vietnam in the coming time. He believed that the model will open up a new and potential business line not only helping investors of V-Green charging station franchise have stable and attractive source of revenue, but also creating opportunities for them to directly participate in the country's green transformation, contributing to creating a greener future for Vietnam.

V-Green, 90% owned by Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of Vingroup Corporation and founder of automobile maker VinFast, boasts the largest EV charging station network in Vietnam. It plans to install 150,000 charging ports in 63 cities and provinces nationwide.
