Thaiholdings keeps selling stakes in companies

After announcing divestment from a bank and an office building, construction and property company Thaiholdings has decided to sell 35 percent of real estate brokerage Thaihomes.

It plans to sell 9.38 million shares at an expected price of VND10,000 ($0.44) during this quarter.

Thaihomes, established in April this year, has charter capital of VND268 billion, with Thaiholdings owning 51 percent.

Earlier, on Nov.16, Thaiholdings and Thaigroup announced plans to sell more than 99 percent of Ton Dan Hanoi Joint Stock Company, which owns Thaiholdings Tower in Hanoi, at not less than VND60,000 per share.

Thaiholdings has already registered to sell all 22.4 million shares in lender LienVietPostBank as part of plans to restructure.

On the Hanoi Securities Stock Exchange, Thaiholdings is the only company with market capitalization exceeding $1 billion. Its current market cap stands at over $3.5 billion.
