Chairman of electronics retailer Mobile World Group, Nguyen Duc Tai, has registered to sell one million shares of the company, whose price is at a two-year high.

He plans to carry out the sale between Sept. 9 and Oct. 8 for "personal" reasons, according to a company filing submitted to the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange.

If the transaction, valued at around VND68 billion (US$2.75 million), goes through it will reduce his stake in Mobile World from 2.29% to 2.22%.

In June he had sold two million shares.

Investment fund Dragon Capital sold 1.96 million MWG shares the following month, reducing its stake from 8.07% to 8%.

MWG is now hovering at VND68,000 after reaching a two-year high of VND70,000 two weeks ago.

Mobile World reported a 15% year-on-year rise in revenues to VND76.54 trillion in the first seven months of this year.

Besides consumer electronics retail chains The Gioi Di Dong and Dien May Xanh, it also has grocery chain Bach Hoa Xanh and pharmacy chain An Khang.
