Following the introduction of the MacBook Air M3 lineup in March this year, the company pulled the M1 from its official online store in Vietnam, signaling the discontinuation of the model. However, authorized Apple retailers continue to sell their remaining stocks, and are reporting that they are running low, according to a Dan Tri's report.
"Market and distributor stocks for the MacBook Air M1 are very limited, and no additional shipments are expected," Hoang Minh Tam, a media representative at Hoang Ha Mobile, said. "We anticipate that supplies will last only until Lunar New Year 2025."

In the past four years the M1 has seen several price cuts. Now most retailers only have the standard version with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, and are selling them at VND17.5 million (US$690).
Despite being a four-year-old product, the MacBook Air M1 remains an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers. "Apple products typically have a lifecycle of five to seven years," a Minh Tuan Mobile executive said.
It remains a popular product in the country. Nguyen Van Giau of retail chain Di Dong My said: "It accounts for around 20% of total MacBook sales in our stores."
