Property developer FLC has brought back former CEO Bui Hai Huyen for another stint, it said in a release Thursday.

She was CEO from 2020 to February 2023, when she left the firm.

In her 12-year career with FLC she had managed many key divisions such as hotel and resorts, property, high-tech agriculture, and aviation.

FLC has also named Vu Anh Tuan as its new chairman. He had 20 years’ experience in the banking industry before joining FLC in 2022.

FLC said it is restarting some key projects and working to resolve financial and legal problems to ensure it fulfills its responsibilities toward customers, partners and shareholders.

It operates resorts in several places in northern and central Vietnam.

The company’s troubles began when chairman Trinh Van Quyet was arrested in 2022 and sentenced to 21 years in prison for fraudulent appropriation of assets and stock manipulation.

He has since appealed and sought a commuted sentence.
