According to The Independent, Soudi, a British-born influencer and self-proclaimed full-time housewife, revealed the purchase on her Instagram account.

"POV: You wanted to wear a bikini so your millionaire husband bought you an island," she wrote as the caption for her video.

In her interview with the Indian news outlet Hindustan Times, Soudi disclosed that acquiring an island was also an investment move planned with her husband.

"For privacy reasons, we are not disclosing the exact location, but it’s in Asia and the cost was US$50 million," she further stated.

Responses to Soudi’s video have varied, with some social media users showing skepticism, while others criticize the blatant display of affluence. One commenter joked: "Does he have a brother? I ask for my friend."

"And why do they show off?" questioned another.

Soudi and Jamal became acquainted during their studies in Dubai and tied the knot in 2021.

Soudi has since regularly posted videos under the title "How much my millionaire husband spent on me this week," showcasing weekly expenditures that range from US$50,000 to US$1 million on her Instagram and TikTok accounts.
