The Dongfeng Box will be the latest hatchback EV to be sold in Vietnam starting Jan. 10.
The vehicle has a modern design with sleek curves utilized in both exterior and interior designs.
Vietnamese users can select either the 283-kilometer or 384-kilometer battery option.
Another electric vehicle is the E70, a sedan which is set to compete against the popular gasoline-powered Toyota Corolla Altis and Honda Civic in the small family car segment.
Its design resembles a traditional gasoline-powered sedan, with the primary difference being a solid grille – a signature feature of electric vehicles.
The E70’s battery can run 401 kilometers.
Dongfeng also offers the Mage as an option for customers looking for a crossover, in which popular names such as the Mazda CX-5 and VinFast VF 7 have already established their stances.
Mage’s bold and angular exterior design is complemented by a modern interior with an electronic gear selector.
The company offers two engine options: gasoline-powered or hybrid.
The last model in the lineup is Huge, a SUV which will likely face challenging competition from consumer favorites Toyota Fortuner and Hyundai Santa Fe.
The hybrid vehicle’s masculine design is paired with a spacious five-seat configuration.
While latest data is not available, Dongfeng’s reports show that it sold 500,000 vehicles in China in 2023, which was not enough to make it one of the top 10 auto brands in the country.
The company also produces trucks and specialized vehicles, including military units. It has been selling trucks in Vietnam for several years.
