Digiworld, an authorized reseller of Apple and Xiaomi in Vietnam, targets a 25 percent increase in sales this year to VND26.3 trillion (US$1.15 billion).

It eyes post-tax profits of VND800 billion, up 22 percent. The firm will seek shareholders' approval for the targets at the upcoming annual general meeting.

Last year, it reported revenues of nearly VND21 trillion, 67 percent up from 2020, and profits of VND657 billion, up 146 percent.

The sales included VND7.9 trillion from laptops and VND9.85 trillion from smartphones as the market shares of Xiaomi and Apple increased.

Despite losing its monopoly status, Digiworld is set to see its Xiaomi smartphone sales increase by 11 percent to VND8 trillion this year, Bao Viet Security forecast.

Digiworld’s share price doubled in the second half of 2021 to a peak of VND136,000. It currently hovers around VND120,000.
