Citing ETToday, Dan Tri Newspaper reported that the two men discussed the fate of a Taiwan-based apartment worth NT$470 million that Hsu owned, as well as who would be responsible for covering the NT$1 million monthly mortgage payment that Hsu had taken out before her death.
Sohu reports that Hsu purchased the apartment in 2023 and subsequently moved in with DJ Koo and her two children, whom she shared with Wang. Hsu contributed part of the cost, while the remaining funds were secured through a bank loan.
Experts suggest that if no one takes responsibility for the mortgage, the bank could seize the property and auction it off.
It is known that Hsu mortgaged the property three times to support her business ventures, though the exact loan amount has not been disclosed.
Earlier reports indicated that Hsu’s assets would be divided between DJ Koo and her two children, in accordance with Taiwanese civil law. Since the children, aged 11 and nine, are minors, their inheritance will be managed by Wang until they reach 18.
However, sources close to the family have revealed that the division process is ongoing quietly, with the Hsu family wishing to avoid media attention.
Hsu, known for her roles in popular dramas like "Meteor Garden" "Mars," and "Summer’s Desire," passed away at the age of 49 in Japan due to complications from pneumonia, as confirmed by her family on Feb. 3.
Hsu and Wang, 44, married in 2011 but divorced in 2021, citing "irreconcilable differences." Later, Hsu rekindled her romance with former boyfriend DJ Koo, 55, and remarried him in Feb. 2022.
Meanwhile, Wang married Mandy Ma, a 26-year-old businesswoman and online influencer, in May 2024.
