"Breaking records and serving while doing so. Lisa is the next inductee into the Billions Club," the music streaming platform wrote on their X account, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday.

With this achievement, "Money" has amassed even more streams than the best-performing track by Blackpink, "How You Like That," according to the Guinness World Records organization. It is reported that the former had garnered over 1 billion streams while the latter had had only 856 million as of Sep. this year.

Born Pranpriya Manoban in Thailand and later changing her first name to Lalisa, the 26-year-old made her debut with the South Korean girl group Blackpink in 2016. She launched a simultaneous solo career in 2021 with the release of her album "Lalisa," in which "Money" is one of the four tracks presented.

The star has also established her name in the fashion industry as a global ambassador for various luxury brands, including Celine and Bulgari.

After the singer reportedly partially stripped during her performances at Paris-based cabaret Crazy Horse in Sep. this year, her personal account on Chinese social media platform Weibo has been shut down. At the same time, fashion houses Celine and Bulgari also removed photos featuring her on their accounts, which are believed to be the aftermath of the shows.
