Vietnam women win fourth straight title at SEA Games

Vietnam women's football team won 2-0 against Myanmar on Monday and became the first team in SEA Games history to claim the gold medal in four consecutive tournaments.

    The substitution Thanh Nha had an excellent play as she sprinted down the right flank before confidently taking a chip over keeper Mya Nyein's head from outside the box and scoring a banger for Vietnam.

    Vietnam used their last two substitutions, as Thai Thi Thao and Huynh Nhu are out for Tran Thi Thuy Trang and Pham Hai Yen.

    After a good clearance by Hoang Thi Loan, Phyu Win got the ball and finished from 30 m. The shot went too wide and it showed Myanmar's struggle to find a way into Vietnam's box.

    Vietnam also made two substitutions. Tran Hai Linh is subbed out for Luong Thi Thu Thuong, while Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha is in for Bich Thuy.

Vietnam entered the final of SEA Games 32 women's football after an easy 3-0 win against Cambodia in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, Myanmar had a thrilling comeback against Thailand to win 3-2.

If Vietnam can beat Myanmar in this final, they will become the first women's football team in SEA Games history to win the gold medal in four consecutive seasons.
