Guam have their first shot of the game but it didn't cause any danger to Vietnam.

Going up against a weak opponent like Guam (203rd on world ranking) plus the home advantage, Vietnam are expected to have a comfortable first game of the 2024 U23 Asian Cup qualifiers.

In the last two encounters, the national team of Guam lost 0-9 and 0-11 to Vietnam in 1996 and 2000. More than 20 years later, the big defeats are still following Guam at major tournaments.

Vietnam's target is topping group C and securing U23 Asian Cup qualification.
