    3-1 for Vietnam!

Nepal's defense crumbled under pressure after conceding the second goal and this time, they let Nguyen Hoang Duc loose as he tried to curl it into the left. The goalkeeper had to punch it out but the substitute Van Vi was there for a simple tap-in.

    Goal for Vietnam!

From a corner kick on the left, the ball was delivered into the box and after a scruffy play, the ball found Xuan Manh, who finished it through the wall of players to make it 2-1 for Vietnam.

Playing against an opponent 62 places lower on the FIFA rankings, Vietnam will take nothing less than a win in this match.

The two teams met in the 2004 Asian Cup qualifiers, with Vietnam winning 5-0 and 2-0. This time, coach Kim Sang-sik and the team have a big advantage as they will play both matches at home.

Due to the current situation in their country, Nepal will borrow Thong Nhat Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City, for the rematch on Oct. 12.
