Facing a weaker opponent like Nepal, Vietnam have a great chance to secure a win in their opening game of Asian Games women's football.

Vietnam are 34th on world ranking, 67 places above Nepal. In the recent two encounters at the 2024 Olympic Paris qualifiers, Vietnam won 5-1 and 2-0 after two legs.
