Tiana is the only Vietnamese designer that brings to the fashion event held early this month a collection of wedding dresses.
All of the creations in her collection had one stock only.
Each design took the designer and her entourage five to six months to complete.
The team did every process, from draping to attaching the decorative patterns, by hand.
Tiana said her collection was inspired by the motto: “Women can work all their lives, but have a wedding only once.”
That attitude motivated her to make each of her creations a dress that shows the bride’s unique figure and preference.
“Vietnamese brides often change between three and four dresses throughout their ceremonies but do not show their personalities through them,” the designer said.
“Meanwhile, Western brides have their own tailored dresses which help them shine in their own ways.”
Tiana’s designs range from mermaid-tail, to slit, and flared dresses.
She integrates touches of personality, including cut-out lines, see-through fabrics, and others to the dresses as well, aiming to best accentuate the bride’s figure and identity.
The Vietnamese designer said the New York show cost her a hefty amount, as she had to pay for the outfits delivery, model casting, venue renting, and others.
Still, she considered the show a precious chance for her to work with American partners and learn many things from the world’s top fashion week.
Her wedding dress designs were also featured on Elle Magazine and Fashion Channel TV channel after the show.
