Top Vietnamese designer releases collection inspired by flower petals

“Resort 2023” focuses on minimalism, simplicity, materials, and especially techniques like pleating, clamping, shaping and embroidering.

A total of 58 outfits in the collection were made from materials such as cotton poplin, khaki, cotton, taffeta, linen, jersey and lace.

The primary white color brings an elegant and relaxing feel and it’s adorned by other tints like black, beige, purple and blue, which created a harmonized color palette.

Aiming for comfort in everyday use, Cong Tri created basic and highly applicable designs such as oversized shirts, T-shirts, shorts, culottes, maxi and midi skirts and tapered dresses.

The summer tank top trend also appeared in this collection, with a laser-cut white tank top. This design is cool for the summer but still looks luxurious.

Techniques like cropping and laser cutting bring elegance and give minimalist outfits texture.

Most of the designs have a comfortable form that makes them easy to wear for the summer.

Cong Tri tried to limit details and aim for a minimal and monochrome style, but the designs are not boring, with puffed and ruffled shoulders and sleeves reminiscent of flower petals.

The trend of wearing a bra as a top continues to be embraced as it’s matched with high-end khaki beige culottes. Tri also used this trend in his previous collection.

Outfits with shirts and shorts stand out with the mix of plaid patterns and white lace.

Cong Tri was born in 1978 in Da Nang, Vietnam. His fashion brand, which was established in 2009, has been chosen by various A-list celebrities including Adele, Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, Charlize Theron, Dakota Johnson, Rosé (Blackpink), Katy Perry and Rihanna.

Heels with flowers on the ankles are also a highlight of the collection.
