According to Midu’s stylist Tran Nhat Duy, the dress was crafted by designer Phuong Linh for her La Rosa collection. It is distinguished by a shoulder-baring design and is embellished with Swarovski crystals, which added to the actress’ radiance.
Midu expressed her contentment, noting that many have remarked she looks younger than her age and that she and her husband, who is a year her junior, are well-matched.
Discussing her relationship with Dat, Midu shared that she felt an immediate and profound connection with her partner from the very start. She highlighted their shared values and similar approaches to life and problem-solving, which have fostered a natural and joyful relationship without pretense.
“I feel supported, respected, and accompanied, which strengthens my trust and gives me courage,” Midu stated.
She regards Dat as a mature and responsible thinker. As a woman who diligently pursues her goals, Midu finds a sense of safety and harmony with her husband, attributes she found compelling and essential for their partnership.
“It certainly took time for him to demonstrate that he truly deserved to be my life partner,” Midu remarked.
The actress acknowledged that she was once primarily focused on her career, rarely contemplating marriage or placing much trust in love. However, her perspective shifted significantly due to her relationship with her husband.
“Since meeting Dat, I’ve discovered a new kind of joy and have learned to embrace happiness and believe in fate,” she explained.
Born Dang Thi My Dung, the 35-year-old actress has established herself in the Vietnamese film scene with roles in the TV series “Nhung Thien Than Ao Trang” (Angels in White Dresses) and the film “Thien Menh Anh Hung” (Blood Letter), which was directed by the Vietnamese-born filmmaker Victor Vu.
In addition to her acting career, she is a university lecturer and entrepreneur.
Dat, 34, is poised to inherit Duy Tan Plastics Manufacturing Corporation, a company led by his father Tran Duy Hy. Having studied in the U.S., he is now involved in the management of the family business.
The couple’s nuptial celebrations began with a private ceremony at Midu’s residence in Thu Duc City on June 23, with plans for a wedding reception in Ho Chi Minh City scheduled for Saturday.
