Robots, semiconductors and drones were among the Vietnam-made products showcased at an exhibition held as part of the first congress of the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Party organization for the 2025–2030 term.

Smart home devices developed by startup VConnex displayed at the event on Aug. 16. The company offers products such as smart switches, motion sensors, smoke detectors, smart locks, outlets, and surveillance cameras.

The drones on display include a passenger-carrying UAV model by conglomerate CT Group (center) and Hera, a compact drone developed by Dr. Luong Viet Quoc that can fit in a backpack and carry up to 15 kg (left).

Vietnamese-designed chips showcased at the event include Viettel’s 5G chip, FPT Semiconductor’s low-power IC and MK Group’s chip used in ID cards.

The Smart AI Cabin system developed by tech giant FPT, which integrates digital cockpit solutions for automobiles, offering driver monitoring, environmental observation and entertainment features.

Alpha Asimov, Vietnam’s first self-driving delivery robot, equipped with cameras, sensors and GPS technology and capable of carrying up to 50 kg at speeds of 15–25 km/h.

A public service robot developed by VTG designed to assist citizens with queuing and administrative procedures. The company has also created humanoid robots for other sectors including healthcare, education and tourism.

A 5G base station system researched and developed by Viettel, capable of supporting all layers of a telecommunications network, from core to radio, and with high customization capability.

Since the Ministry of Information and Communications, now the Ministry of Science and Technology, launched the “Make in Vietnam” program in 2019, the country’s digital technology industry has made notable progress.

Five years on, the share of Vietnamese added value in the ICT industry’s revenues has increased by nearly 1.5 times, underscoring the program’s success.
