The couple’s wedding party took place Sunday at a luxurious hotel in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1, marking the first time Hang had appeared publicly with Minh.
The supermodel said many friends, colleagues, and social media followers praised her and her husband for being a good match with each other.
The couple did not hesitate to perform sweet gestures for the cameras as they walked through the beautiful hotel to the party.
Donning a mermaid tail dress made by famed Vietnamese designer Cong Tri, Hang let Minh escort her by hand.
Her dress was made from taffeta silk, with horizontal stripes being the highlight. She matched it with a long veil featuring three-dimensional flower appliques.
The party started when Minh sang “Manh Ghep Cua Hai Giac Mo” (Pieces of Two Dreams), a song composed by his musician friend Viet Anh that tells the story of a man who wants to accompany his romantic partner for the rest of their lives.
He then walked Hang down the aisle.
Minh’s father, Hang, and Minh then made their respective speeches in front of the guests.
“I had everything in my life except for a partner,” Hang told her family. “I’m bursting with emotions tonight, and I know that you’re ten times happier than me [seeing me getting married]. I appreciate that.”
Meanwhile, Minh said he was trembling despite having stood on countless important stages throughout his life. He said that his piano and singing performance at the beginning of the party might be the first and also the last time he played an instrument and sang at the same time.
“I hope everyone present here tonight will keep loving us in the future,” he said.
Many of the couple’s close celebrity friends attended the party, including pop singer Ho Ngoc Ha, Miss International Queen title winner Huong Giang, supermodel Lan Khue, film director Vu Ngoc Dang, actor Luong Manh Hai, and designer Adrian Anh Tuan.
Hang had gotten food poisoning a few hours before the event started, but despite that, she maintained her bright and cheerful look throughout the party.
Many social media users have also praised her for how youthful she looked.
Hang said when asked the reason that motivated her to marry Minh: “He [Minh] has worked on a symphony of happiness for himself for a long time, and now he needs a final musical note in order for it to be completed...and I have that worthy note.”
She also considered her husband a strong and courageous man who is always able to quickly understand her emotions.
"He deserves my love and trust," she said during an interview in May.
Hang, 40, was born Pham Thi Thanh Hang in Da Nang. She became Miss Photo Vietnam in 2002, then began a professional modeling career.
She has hosted the reality show Vietnam's Next Top Model for many years, and she also coached on the 2018 reality show The Face.
With two decades of modeling experience, she is considered one of the top supermodels in Vietnam.
In addition to modeling, Hang has also starred in several movies and TV series, including: “Nhung Co Gai Chan Dai” (Girls With Long Legs), “Tuyet Nhiet Doi” (Tropical Snow) and “Nu Hon Than Chet” (Kiss of the Death).
Minh, 42, graduated with a master’s degree in Russia and is currently working at the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera.
