The prince and his royal bride's 10-day wedding reached its peak on Sunday, also the eighth day of the grand ceremony, marked by a parade in the capital and a glittering reception with international royalty and dignitaries attending.
Isa-Kalebic and Prince Mateen were seen walking together arm-in-arm at Istana Nurul Iman palace, the official residence of the Sultan of Brunei.
Following the palace ceremony, they proceeded to a car for a celebratory parade through the streets of Bandar Seri Begawan.
Another photo depicted both the prince (L) and his bride in their childhood, indicating their journey from childhood friends to a royal couple.
Prince Mateen, 32, serves as a helicopter pilot and a major in the Royal Brunei Air Force and has represented Brunei in polo at the 2017 and 2019 SEA Games.
He was named among Asia’s top 50 most eligible bachelors by Hong Kong’s Tatler Magazine in 2016.
His royal bride Anisha Rosnah Isa-Kalebic, 29, is an alumnus of the University of Bath and an entrepreneur.
She is the founder of Silk Collective, a fashion brand, and Authentirary, a cultural experience tourism company.
Coming from a noble family, her grandfather Pehin Dato Isa is the Sultan of Brunei’s special advisor and held significant roles in Brunei’s government in the 1960s and 1970s.
Her brother, Danial Deen Isa-Kalebic, is a close friend of Prince Mateen, and her sister-in-law, Janetira Attaskulchai Deen, belongs to the Attaskulchai family of Thailand, known for their Betagen yogurt empire.
The royal wedding, which began on Jan. 7, will continue until Jan. 16. The prince and his bride have participated in various ceremonies, such as the Khatam Quran event on Jan 8, the Berbedak Mandi or powdering ceremony on Jan. 10, and the solemnization at Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque on Jan. 11.
