The first gift My (far L) received from Hau’s family during her wedding to Hau in the footballer’s hometown, the northern province of Thai Binh, was a gold necklace.
It was given to her by Hau’s parents (far and second from R).
The necklace was not the only gift for My that Hau’s family had prepared, as the footballer’s mother then took out a pair of gold rings. She then put the rings on My and Hau’s fingers.
Working as farmers, Hau’s parents suffered many struggles until their son succeeded in his footballer career.
Hau’s mother gifted My another gold chain.
The footballer’s parents said they were proud to have a famous footballer son and now a beautiful daughter-in-law who comes from Hanoi and has a good family background.
The new bride received another gold bracelet from her mother-in-law.
Hau said in a previous interview that his family appreciated My for how kind she is and has always welcomed her to be a member of the family.
A pair of gold earrings was the last gift My got from her mother-in-law.
As she was already wearing earrings, she had to hold the new earrings in her hands.
The couple also received gifts from Hau’s brother (far R) and sister-in-law (far L), each of whom gave the couple a gold ring.
They raised glasses with both of their families as the guests congratulated them for their big day.
Hau, 24, gained popularity after his excellent early-career performances made him a regular starter on the national football team. His stellar play contributed in helping Vietnam win the 2018 SEA Games gold medal.
He and My, 22, began dating a few months after My competed in the 2020 Miss Vietnam contest.
The couple publicized their relationship in 2022. Hau has been seen traveling with My’s family on several trips, and My has often been spotted in the crowd at Hau’s football matches, cheering on her beau as he plays.
Following their Saturday engagement in Hanoi and wedding ceremony in Thai Binh, they are set to have a Hanoi wedding ceremony on Nov. 26.
