Vietjet now operates three direct flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, serving eight flights per week using Airbus A330, the latest generation of the aircraft.
Before boarding, passengers of Business class can relax and enjoy food at the business lounge at Tan Son Nhat and Sydney airports.
There are not many direct flights connecting Vietnam and Australia. Vietjet flights take eight hours and there are multiple flight time options during the week. Each flight offers four classes with different prices and benefits.
Fiona Woodrow (R), 55, from Sydney, and her husband chose the Business class to experience the most high-class services on the flight including a business lounge, private cabin, flat seats, and cocktails served upon request. Each business-class passenger can carry a maximum 18 kg of cabin luggage and 60 kg of checked baggage. Golf clubs are allowed.
SkyBoss and Business tickets include two free meals.

The airline serves nine hot dishes and more than 20 instant dishes. The menu offers Vietnamese dishes including sticky rice cake banh chung, banh mi, pho, as well as Malaysian coconut rice, Singapore fried noodles, Italian pasta, Thai fried rice, and many drinks such as fresh milk, soya milk, and juice.
SkyBoss, also a premium class, offers a more affordable price. Businessman Ammar Aljuboori, 40, from Sydney, chose the airline as the flight schedule fit his meeting plan in Vietnam. He appreciated the menu serving both vegetarian and savory dishes that suit passengers' tastes.
The Deluxe ticket class allows a maximum 40 kg of checked baggage and 7 kg of cabin luggage, and one free meal. The seats are wide, and comfortable for a nap. Eco tickets are preferred by many passengers due to the zero-dong price during sale events.
Passengers are served with dedicated services, by warm and friendly hostesses. The airline received the "Best Low-cost Airline with Best Airline Service in 2023" award and the "World's Best Super-Economy Airline in 2023" award by AirlineRatings on May 31.
