Love Hurricane, the extreme sports art performance show in the Sunset Town of Phu Quoc Island, brings eye-catching displays on the water and aerial stunts at up to 15 meters high by the world's top athletes.
Officially launched on Feb. 27, the show has added to the captivating experiences for visitors when coming to Sunset Town.
During each late afternoon on the southern island, visitors will witness a spectacle featuring 18 international athletes performing with jetskis and flyboards (standing water jet-boards).
Thousands would gather at Kiss Bridge in the afternoon to enjoy the performance.
The welcoming act is a sweet love song with a romantic dance performance on a flyboard, soaring 12 meters above the water surface. At a height where even a strong wind makes many people's hearts skip a beat, the athletes deliver graceful performances set to the tune of "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran.
One of the performances that receives the most applause is a parade of the Vietnamese national flag by Jetski. 15 jetskis carrying red flags with yellow stars soar across the sunset sky. The performances evoke pride and admiration from audiences.
The high-speed jet skis dazzle the audience with impressive displays, creating heart shapes and infinite vortexes.
Many spectators were overwhelmed when they first saw the "wave-breaking" performance of Kristina Isaeva, the world flyboard runner-up. These are flying screens up to 15 meters high, equivalent to a 5-story building above the sea.
Isaeva's next moves would be 360-degree rotations and two to three consecutive somersaults in mid-air.
Isaeva said that she was convinced to perform in Phu Quoc because this is the first time she has taken on the challenge of reaching a height of 15 meters and interacting with the audience. "The most fulfilling aspect of participating in the show is making the audience excited," she said.
The high-speed "races" with flares bring action scenes that seemed to only exist in the blockbuster James Bond movies. During the sunset, the athletes' agility and dexterity further enhance the beauty of Sunset Town, a town reminiscent of the charm of Amalfi, Italy.
In addition to the technical displays, the athletes interact with the audience at Kiss Bridge with high-fives and air kisses. Kiss Bridge is the ideal spot to watch the performance.
"Sunset Jetski Show: Love Hurricane" is the second international show invested in by Sun Group in Sunset Town, with a partnership with H2O, the world's leading producer of water shows combined with fireworks. H2O Events has over 30 years of experience organizing shows at numerous theme parks in the U.S., Australia, and China, as well as working on blockbuster movies like James Bond and Mission Impossible.
The show is scheduled daily at 6 p.m. at Kiss Bridge, Sunset Town, Phu Quoc. Show tickets include admission to the Kiss Bridge from 4 to 7 p.m.
With the "Sunset Jetski Show: Love Hurricane," Sunset Town adds another world-class performance collection that no destination in Vietnam currently offers.
