Spectrum of the Seas carrying over 3,500 foreign tourists docked at Phu My Port in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau during its Southeast Asia tour. The ship left the port on Monday night to continue its journey to Thailand.
Currently operated by Royal Caribbean International (RCI), the cruise ship was launched in 2019 and is 347 meters long.
A representative of RCI said it is currently the largest cruise ship operating in Asia with 16 floors, more than 2,000 rooms and a capacity to carry a maximum 5,600 passengers.
The cruise ship is designed with a luxurious style and features modern entertainment services such as a movie theater, bar, casino and outdoor swimming pools.
The main aisle of the ship is packed with many stores and famous brands and is similar to a commercial center.
Alice Tu, CEO of Discover the World Vietnam, a representative of RCI, told VnExpress this was the first time the Spectrum of the Seas cruise ship has returned to Vietnam since tourism reopened in March 2022.
The ship began its voyage in Singapore before heading to Vietnam.
The yacht has three swimming pools and three hot tubs. Between 1-2 p.m., the area is packed with tourists who sunbathe on the pool chairs.
The southern region of Vietnam is now in the dry season with warm weather, making it ideal for European visitors to escape the winter cold.
The ship's accommodations are divided into five classes. The most premium class has only one room, which includes a living room, entertainment area, balcony and children’s slide.

There are about 20 restaurants on board. This photo shows the dining area where set meals are served.
Currently, some Vietnamese travel companies also offer cruise tours around Southeast Asia. The Spectrum of the Seas tour for the Reunification Day weekend holiday between April 29 and May 3 is sold out.
